Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is the name of a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her the possibilities it offered. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but as a way to develop. The Aksnes family encouraged her to compose. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. After her mom said that her songs would not just help her gain fame, and also inspire others to see their importance in the world and realize what can be done with the songs She decided to start playing in front of the public. She began playing the piano at age six and creating music when she was nine. The family did not be aware until 14. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. She says she just likes to compose music. She says that music is her favorite way of feeling something.
